bootmail software package provides automatically email a list of admins when a system reboots, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bootmail
bootmail is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bootmail package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bootmail *
You will get with bootmail package name, version, architecture and description in a table
